With 2019 coming to an end and we begin turning our attention to 2020, The Events Structure team have taken time to reflect on the last twelve months and celebrate this year's achievements by looking back at our favourite 15 activations and instalments of 2019.
1. Scottish Widows B2B and B2C roadshow tour

During the week, Scottish Widows travelled to different workplaces to share advice to employees on managing their workplace pension and plans for retirement. Saturday and Sunday, Scottish Widows positioned themselves on UK high streets, giving useful information on individual pensions and retirement to people of the community.
2. Co-Op vending machine festival activation
In 2019, we worked with Co-Op Food at the Royal Highland Show 18-21 June and Royal Welsh Show 22-25 to help deliver their "Festival of Farming" activation. Using two Gallery Plus and one Impact Plus event shipping containers, the activation highlighted the company's commitment to sustainable farming and producing local food, and received a great response, winning Best Commercial Trade Stand at the Royal Welsh Show.
However, second on our list of top brand activation of 2019 was our third instalment for Co-Op Food. Using a Gallery Plus event shipping container, Co-Op created a vending machine activation for festivalgoers at Reading festival. The first of its kind, the pop-up featured two chilled meal deal vending machines and did not require staff manning.
3. Yorkshire Water custom-build escape room
As part of their Unblocktober October campaign, Yorkshire Water toured York with their custom-build "Unblock Against the Clock" shipping container activation in a bid to reduce the number of blockages in sewers. Users had to solve clues against the clock to escape the activation and win.
The custom-built escape room was made using two entry-level 20' ISO shipping containers on top of one another. Alongside an external staircase, the custom-build featured an internal slide going from the top container to the bottom.

9. Gardner Denver Champion AirTech promotional tour
In May 2019, our self-drive Ranger promotional vehicle toured around the UK and France with Gardner Denver to promote the Champion AirTech latest range of air compressors and downstream equipment.
The tour allowed Gardner Denver to bring their product to the customer, giving them a chance to see the compressor in person and ask representatives any questions before making a purchase. Graphic wrapped and branded, the self-drive exhibition unit vehicle looked incredibly impressive in transit and while travelling.
10. NOW TV brand awareness activation
When NOW TV presented Three Friday Nights at Goodwood Racecourse in June, the on-demand streaming service used our Studio Premium event shipping container to promote their contract-free TV passes to "keep the good times going" after the event.

The seven shipping containers built up and separated the conference area from the rest of the event, centralising the stage for featured talks. Like the Google search engine itself, the conference area had a clean and minimal appearance with usability being at the forefront of the design.
14. Pop-up dog café for Vets4Pets
Friday 13th is unlucky for some, but not the dog owners and their canines who visited the Vets4Pets pop-up dog café in Victoria Park, London, on 13th September while on their daily routine walk.
Utilising a Gallery Plus event shipping container fully branded with a French eatery interior, the pop-up dog café aimed to "Take Lungworm Off the Menu" by educating dog walkers on the parasite following an outbreak of reported cases in the UK. Dog treats were also handed out for visitors.
