The Events Structure headed to ExCeL, London with George P. Johnson Experience Marketing Agency and seven white 20' event shipping containers for Google's annual Cloud Next UK developer event Wednesday, 20th - Thursday, 21st November.
A 2-day global exhibition of inspiration, innovation and education, Cloud Next UK is designed to help shape the future of cloud by bringing industry pioneers together to share big ideas. Cloud Next UK is the largest Google Cloud event in EMEA this year.
The event featured talks from Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, VPs Suzanne Frey, Brad Calder, Jennifer Lin, Andrew Moore and John Jester, as well as other Googlers, customers and partners on everything from IT modernisation through to the latest Machine Learning developments.
Building up and separating the conference area hosting feature talks were our seven white 20' event shipping containers alongside yellow and white metal structures.
Centralising the stage and holding a large LED wall screen to live broadcast the event to attendees were two 20’ containers. To the right of the stage were four containers creating an archway allowing for guest speakers to enter and leave the stage.
Like the Google search engine itself, the conference area had a clean and minimal appearance with usability being at the forefront of the design.
A key advantage of using shipping containers for an event is their increased durability and stability. Made from steel, a standard ISO shipping container can withstand 192 MT of weight. Unlike other structures, shipping containers can hold heavy equipment such as a large LED wall screen easily and safely.
Built to be stacked on top of one another, shipping containers provide a blank canvas perfect for creating a secure and durable backdrop at an event.
