As we wrap up 2024, we took a moment to catch up with our events team and ask them about their favourite projects from the year. From standout jobs to remarkable sites and impressive shipping container conversions, here's what they had to say about the year gone by.
"Favourite project of the year?"
When asked about their favourite job of the year, the team had different choices, reflecting the variety of projects we have worked on this year. Tim's favourite shipping container project was 7UP, an impressive activation that saw our Impact Plus shipping container conversion exterior altered with cladding to deliver "The Coolbox". Danny, on the other hand, really enjoyed working on BBC Radio 1, a custom-build shipping container studio that toured the UK 2024 music festival scene.
Mark's favourite job was Arla JÖRĐ, another container project that required a lot of customisation to look like a Nordic kitchen. Gary named the AIG Women’s Open as his top pick, appreciating the prestige and scale of the multi-container of the event. Mike's favourite was New Balance brand activation for the London Marathon, which saw our Statement Premium cluster make a mark on Cutty Sark.
"Nicest site visited?"
When it came to the most stunning locations visited in 2024, the events team couldn't agree on just one.
Tim's favourite was Battersea Power Station for 7UP, where the atmosphere was electric and the surroundings were iconic. Danny was impressed by the beauty of Silverstone, where we had two client container installations for Topps and Skoda.
Mark found the Cutty Sark for New Balance as part of their London Marathon sponsorship activation to be a standout location. Gary loved his time at St Andrews during the AIG Women’s Open, soaking up and enjoying the charm of one of the most famous golf courses in the world. Mike, meanwhile, was drawn to the history and atmosphere of Goodison Park for eToro.
"Most interesting container project?"
The team shared their most memorable shipping container projects of 2024, with each answer showing the creative potential of shipping container conversions.
Tim was proud to work on the 7UP project, which saw the shipping container structure reimagined to look like a cool box. Danny highlighted the MLB London multi-container project as one that stood out for its scale and design.
Mark and Gary were both impressed with the tattoo parlour and Gibson project for BludFest, showing how versatile containers can be for unique and engaging experiences. Mike’s most interesting was the Pepsi project, which incorporated an LED screen that added impact to the brand’s presence.
