Earlier this year, Arla Foods announced that the brand Jörđ would be relaunched as Arla Jörđ, becoming an official Arla sub-brand with updated packaging to feature the Arla name.
The relaunch was to create consistency with other Arla products, including Arla Cravendale and Arla Lactofree. The Arla Jörđ recipe was altered to include vitamins D and B9, as well as being a source of fibre.
Arla Jörđ Nordic Kitchen
On Friday, 9th August 2024, Arla Jörđ opened its Nordic Kitchen doors at St James Quarter, Edinburgh, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The pop-up kitchen served a delicious selection of oat-based drinks and snacks for everyone to try over two days.
Our Impact Plus shipping container bar with an upper deck terrace provided the structure for the Nordic Kitchen. The structure was designed to look like an Arla Jörđ milk carton, with the sides decorated in wooden panels and the stairs decorated with ivy to reflect the natural ingredients.
The shipping container structure had strong branding, with "Welcome to the Nordic Kitchen" clearly signed overhead to grab attention and show familiarity - a large lifesize milk carton was placed outside the structure to further reinforce this. There was plentiful seating, and the upper deck terrace provided a place for customers to soak up the atmosphere.
The shipping container bar was a success, with the Nordic Kitchen visiting Boxpark Shoreditch and Big Feastival.
