Staged every two years, the Manchester International Festival (MIF) 2021 is a free outdoor event that provides a platform for artists from around the world to showcase their innovative and forward-thinking work.
Taking place 1st-18th July, this year's Manchester International Festival includes the UK's biggest participatory art spectacle in decades (Marta Minujin's 'Big Ben Lying Down'), as well as other free public art installations located around Manchester's iconic locations and buildings.
The Selfridges Exchange Square store is one of the places involved, which hosted several on-site events celebrating the creativity of the vibrant city. One of the events being the Selfridges X MIF stage which took place 9th-11th July.
The Selfridges X MIF stage was erected outside the Exchange Square store and aimed to celebrate Manchester's continuing influence in the music world with a host of different DJs, bands and performers.
The Events Structure was called in by our client Fisher AV working on behalf of Selfridges to make the Selfridges X MIF stage with one of our Gallery customised containers. The container was heightened and framed in pink to stand out and allow easy visibility while fitting in with branding. With its integrated power supply, the Gallery customised container stage housed all musical equipment needed.
Outside the customised container pop-up stage was a seating area made up of deck chairs, allowing visitors a place to sit and enjoy the music.
From Vzion's alt-R&B beats headlining Friday to soothing folks feels on Sunday, the Selfridges X MIF stage had a variety of different music genres for everyone to enjoy.
