What do Andy Murray and Jaguar have in common?
It’s not just that they are both British icons. This summer, they teamed up to take Wimbledon on the road. Jaguar has created history with its #FeelWimbledon campaign in conjunction with its brand ambassador - and two time Wimbledon champion - Andy Murray.
Designed to highlight the launch of the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake, the brand has taken Andy Murray’s Wimbledon trophy on the road. The campaign was run over 19 days, visited 20 destinations and travelled over 1,500 miles to various locations, including:
- Dunblane Primary School
- London Broadgate
- Leamington Spa Lawn Tennis Club
- Manchester King Street
- The Jaguar Land Rover sites
- Goodwood’s Festival of Speed
The Events Structure was commissioned by Uniform, who wanted a shipping container conversion that would ensure efficient delivery, ease of set up and top security for its clients: CAA and Jaguar.
We supplied our Gallery container which was fitted with bespoke graphic wraps to the exterior and included a customer interior fit out, both in keeping with the client’s luxury, high-end brand values.
The inside of the event container was split into two zones. One zone was dedicated to the ultimate trophy photograph experience. This area allowed visitors to take their picture with Andy Murray’s trophy and then upload this as an image or GIF to their own social media accounts. The other zone gave visitors the chance to beat Andy’s Batak reaction speed test and to view some of Murray’s finest moments over the past year.
The brief was to ensure that space could be kept on the road for 2 weeks, sometimes covering 2 sites per day. The bespoke shipping container landed in a variety of different places, from primary schools and factories to office complexes - proving that whatever the space, The Event Structure can provide a container that fits.
During the 20 day excursion, over 7,500 people visited the trophy tour - so we ensured that we also had a highly experienced team of brand ambassadors on hand to host and organise the entire experience. The event kicked off in Broadgate Exchange Square in London and The Events Structure played an integral part in securely transporting the Wimbledon trophy - which Murray first laid claim on in 2013, when he became the first British man since Fred Perry in 1936 to win the title.
Utilising the inventive structure of upcycled shipping containers for this campaign meant that Jaguar and CAA had an efficient, secure and highly visible method of taking this coveted trophy across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom.
