Earlier this year, our Ranger self-drive exhibition unit began its tour with Kirklees Council, working as a mobile collection point offering free Covid-19 home testing kits to the local community in a bid to mass test and reduce infection rates.
Since March, the self-drive exhibition unit has been travelling between different boroughs of West Yorkshire, offering a one-day mobile collection point to members of the district, with the option to take a lateral flow Covid-19 test within the vehicle.
Branded with an internal backlit graphic while housing hundreds of testing equipment, the self-drive exhibition unit has made it easier for local people to access Covid-19 Lateral Flow testing kits.
However, last week, it was reported the Covid-19 infection rate in Kirklees has risen by 51 per cent, with the current most concerning strain the Indian variant detected. As a result, efforts to detect and isolate positive cases to prevent further infection have heightened, with Kirklees Council actively targeting the worst infected areas.
Be reactionary with your campaign with a self-drive exhibition unit
Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances can severely affect the impact of campaigns, but as you're behind the wheel, self-drive exhibition units allow you to work reactionary to whatever may occur. Kirklees Council were effectively able to change the direction of their campaign roadmap to productively target boroughs that have a high number of positive Covid tests.
Requiring just a standard driving license to operate, you have complete control of your campaign's operation from start to finish. If anything were to occur to irrupt your campaign, changing the direction of your operation is easy and painless, which may not be possible with other event structures that may require further licensing and permissions.
Unlike marquees and other pop-up structures, self-drive exhibition units are fully self-contained, with everything on board to assist with your campaign and help run operations between locations smoothly and efficiently. You don't need to worry about the uncontrollable such as bad weather affecting the success of your campaign.
Further, self-drive exhibition vehicles have a build time of just ten minutes, which means travelling between locations is straightforward and effortless, with more audience interaction time when stationed granted. And as s the vehicles are secure, you can lock up and leave the vehicle overnight.
